Terms of Collaboration - Step 1 of 2

Thank you for your interest in our event! As a member of the community, our organization can partner with you in the following ways:

  • Group Volunteer opportunities during the event – activities like Registration, Children’s, Art Hanging are all great opportunities for your team to work together to make this show happen. Our Volunteer Team can help you select a volunteer opportunity based on your needs – such as students or mobility challenges - and reserve a space for your group.
  • Group Interactive Art or Demonstrations - have an idea of art that your group can demonstrate or invite the public to participate in live during the show? Our Interactive team can help you with your activity.
  • Group Performances - we have both performance and music stages. Look for an opportunity to register on our website once we have a show date.
  • Volunteer opportunities during Build Out – on the Saturday(s) before the event, Build Out volunteers assist in construction - think building display panels and stages or assembling canvases for live painting. Note that these working sessions involve using power tools and heavy lifting. Look for dates on our website or social media.
  • Group Registration – have a group of artists that are part of a class, non-profit, or senior center? We can help register your group and then work to hang your group’s art together (space allowing). Individuals in your group can add a website or social media address to their art descriptions when they register – it will then be visible on the tag hanging next to their art.
  • Challenges with getting the group’s art to the event space during the registration window? Your group may designate more than one person to drop off or pick up the piece(s).
  • Community space – each year we provide a community space for any group to leave information for the public to review and take if interested.
  • Promotion – your group is welcome to promote your inclusion in Art All Night in any form that you would like!
  • Planning Committee – you are welcome to volunteer as part of our Planning Committee. Look for the kickoff meeting in early February each year. Please note that this is a 4-month commitment.

Our Core Values and Protections are a part of everything that we do. Our Core Values: No fee means that it’s free to submit a piece of art, and it also means there is no fee to attend the show. We rely on donations and volunteers for everything you see. No Jury. There is no editing or curation of artwork. There are no judges for artwork worthiness and no artists are shown preference. All are welcome, and all are worthy. No Censorship. Because the show doesn’t answer to any sponsors, the show is censorship-free. Our Protections: we honor our commitments, there is no commercialism, and we promote accessibility.

So how does this impact our collaboration with groups in the community? Because we believe that each person has the opportunity to display one piece of art or one performance, we cannot promote or elevate any one person or group over any other. In practical terms, this means that we cannot cross-promote your group on our social media or within the show itself.

This also extends to groups sponsoring activities within the show – we cannot set you up in an area where you have signs, wear your own t-shirts, or bring individual attention to your cause.

If you have an idea that you believe can conform to the above applications of our Core Values and Protections that was not offered at the beginning, get in touch with us! Our Poobah will start a conversation with you and if it’s something the group can consider, set up your presentation to our Planning Committee for group consensus.

Thank you!

Do you agree to these terms?
I hereby certify that this idea can and will be implemented within Art All Night's Core Values and Protections including without commercialization (no logos or signage, no sales pitches, nor any pamphlets or fliers distributed outside of the Community Table).
