We need hundreds of volunteers to help with the show. Currently we have 197 signups.
For 2025 select where you would like to volunteer:

Art Auction
Is your dream job being on the Price is Right during the 1990s as one of Barker’s Beauties? Then come on down, you’re the next volunteer for Art Auction! You can present and parade the live painting canvases up for auction to your heart’s delight. The only requirement is that you are comfortable handling artwork.

Art Checkout
Are you the kind of person who goes out onto your porch after a storm to check out the aftermath? Does staying busy and distracted help you weather “the Sunday Scaries”? Then Art Checkout is the job for you! You can help ensure that the artwork is checked out and returned to the artist or their designated pick-up person on Sunday afternoon after the show has closed.

Art Registration
Are you nebby? Do you like talking to people? Are you perfectly ok answering the same questions over and over and over again? Then Art Registration is perfect for you! You will make sure that the artwork is properly documented and checked into the show.

Children Activities
Do you embrace chaos? Are you a people person? Do you not mind a mess? Then come hang out in Cardboard City and help with Children’s Activities! This area tends to have a variety of interactive activities and a lot of joyful noise. You must be comfortable working with children and their (sometimes unruly) caregivers.

Flexible Event Volunteer
Do you suffer from decision fatigue? Are you paralyzed by over-analysis? Do you really not give a flying f*ck what you do so long as you get to hang with the Art All Night gang? Then flex your muscles as a Flexible Event volunteer. This is a great choice for both new volunteers who are open to anything and seasoned volunteers who are comfortable in a variety of roles.

Gallery Attendant
Is “people watching” one of your most favorite past times? Are you comfortable with banal small-talk and telling people where the bathroom is or to stop touching the art while you wander around the show? Then wander on over to be a Gallery Attendant! You will NOT be expected to keep the riffraff at bay but you will be expected to snitch on said riffraff to a member of the Safety Team.

Green Team
Are you the kind of person who gets excited about spring cleaning? Are you obsessed with watching dumpster diving videos on YouTube? Do you say things like “I’m the trash man!” or “I gotta get my steps in today”? Then step on over to the Green Team and help keep the Art All Night space as clean and tidy as possible.

Hangers
Do you have an undying love for the classic video game Tetris? Are you obsessed with the most efficient way to pack a car for a road trip? Then find yourself the perfect spot on the Hanging Team where you will help us hang the show! Tasks also include arranging statues and non-hangable art. Bonus points if you can bring a battery-operated screw gun/drill and/or a stepstool.

Interactive - Button Making Station
Are you a huge fan of flair? Is your restless mind soothed by a constrained, repetitive activity? Then push the button and join the Interactive Team at the button-making station! Last year the button-making station was one of the most popular interactive activities at Art All Night! This is another great opportunity for nebby people, as you will get to check out what kinds of images different people find interesting.

Live Painting Assistant
Do you enjoy watching paint dry? Are you fascinated by watching a master at work? Then get in on the action with the Live Painting Team. You will be at the center of the action, helping our live painting artists as they create the masterpieces that will be auctioned off to benefit Art All Night. You may end your shift looking like a Jackson Pollock painting, so dress appropriately.

Merchandise Table
Do you recommend retail therapy to all of your friends? Do you live by the quote from Glengarry, Glen Ross “ABC – Always Be Closing”? Then hurry up and close the deal to be on the Merchandise Team! Fair warning, you will spend a fair amount of time holding up t-shirts so people can try to judge whether or not they will fit their brother in Kansas who loves Art All Night but moved away so he can’t attend anymore.

Mocktail bar
Is multi-tasking your superpower? Do you feel best when you are busy? Do you have secret cocktail shaker juggling skills? Then shake yourself on over to the Mocktail Bar Team! This relatively new team hit the ground running two years ago and has been growing in popularity among our attendees ever since. Bartending or restaurant serving skills are helpful but not necessary.

Parking
Do you like the outdoors? Are you a fan of Hi-Vis clothing? Do you have a secret desire to tell people what to do? Then park your butt with the Parking Team and help make sure that everyone finds their special place in the Art All Night world. This team plays a very important role in making sure that traffic flows smoothly and that people with accessibility needs are able to get in and get out with ease.

Safety
Do you find yourself often saying things like “safety first” or “don’t get hurt, stay alert”? Are you perpetually curious about what people are carrying in their big purses? Then grab your Flashlight of Power and hang out with the Safety Team! Tasks include nebbing around in bags and purses and walking around the venue helping to keep the riffraff at bay.

Saturday April 12 Buildout
Do you enjoy turning trash buildings into treasure venues? Join us on Saturday April 12th as we get the building ready for the show! Tasks include building the art display panels and installing safety railings around the building. Bonus points if you can bring your own battery powered tools.

Saturday April 12 Live Painting Canvas Constructio
Are you a big fan of the Ford Assembly Line? Do you like to stretch, staple, then stretch again? Then join us for some canvas building! These canvases will be used for the live painting during the show. This is a great volunteer activity to do with friends. Canvas construction or other basic building experience a plus!

Stage
Did you spend a significant portion of your childhood arguing with your caregivers about how you like to turn your music volume up to 11? Is your dream job being a roadie for some up-and-coming fresh new music act? Then rock on over to the Stage Team where you can help manage band traffic and instrument storage and keep everything running on schedule. Familiarity with sound boards and live music setup a plus.

Teardown
Were you the kind of kid who would knock down the other kids’ building blocks in kindergarten? Do you like to sleep in on a Sunday but still get sh*t done in the afternoon? Then Godzilla-stomp your way over to the Teardown Team. Tasks include tearing down the show panels and packing everything and helping move it back to our storage unit.
